Let me start off by thanking God that I came across Dr. Gau Gau’s website while doing a Google research on doctors in the DMV area that are fibroid specialists. By this time, I had seen a few doctors that recommended that I receive an open myomectomy. However, I did not want to take that route. I decided to continue to seek other opinions / options.From the moment I contacted Dr. Gau Gau for a consultation appointment, the process was smooth and Shanice coordinated an appointment for me to come in right away. Dr. Gau Gau made me feel at ease about my condition and thoroughly walked me through my fibroid concerns while looking at my MRI scans that I shared during my appointment.No doctor that I seen for my fibroids made me feel comfortable like Dr. Gau Gau. The other docs that I visited made me feel as if cutting me open was my only option and that I needed to act right away. I have several fibroids and one of my fibroids is a size of a melon. I decided to move forward with receiving the UFE procedure to avoid open surgery. The day of the procedure was smooth and nurse Bonnie made me feel very comfortable right before the procedure.At the time of posting this review, I am writing this on my 1-week Post procedure. I’ve noticed some reduction of stomach bloating. My symptoms have been moderate to mild, very much like menstrual symptoms. I’ve seen a mixture of reviews regarding symptoms. And I believe Its just depends on how an individual’s body will respond to the procedure. Overall, I would recommend to look no further and schedule an appointment to see Dr. Gau Gau! The entire team radiates kindness and good energy!

Dr. Gaugau and his team are wonderful. Their caring and compassion comes through the phone whenever I check in with them. It's only been a week and a half since my procedure and I am still healing. I was told by my gynecology office that there was nothing wrong and I needed to do kegels. I went back about 2 months later and another doctor at my GYN office did an exam and found fibroids which turned out to be 2 that were the size of my uterus. The GYN told me they were too big to do anything other than a hysterectomy. I went to Dr. Gaugau and he let me know they could be removed with embolization and that every doctor wants to remove the uterus instead of embolization. I was afraid of a hysterectomy because it increases the risk of heart disease and the risk of hormonal imbalance which can lead to mental illness not to me lion all of the other things that can go wrong with major surgery. Dr. Gaugau was very comforting throughout the whole process and even when I had a bump in the road he helped me get through it!
