My Journey to Healing: A Thank You to Dr. Nordine GaugauFor a long time, I felt like my life was being scheduled around my symptoms. Like many women dealing with fibroids, I spent years navigating discomfort, exhaustion, and the feeling that my options were limited. That changed the moment I walked into The Fibroid Center at Image Guided Surgery.Finding a Specialist Who ListensFrom the start, Dr. Nordine Gaugau stood out. It isn't just his impressive background in image-guided surgery; it’s his approach to patient care. He didn't just look at my scans; he looked at me. He took the time to explain the science behind my condition and the specifics of the procedure in a way that felt empowering rather than clinical. For the first time, I didn't feel like a "case"—I felt like a partner in my own health. The Experience at The Fibroid CenterThe facility itself reflects the high standard of care Dr. Gaugau maintains. The environment is professional, modern, and—most importantly—calm. The entire staff at the center deserves praise for their seamless coordination. They handled the logistics with such ease that I was able to focus entirely on my preparation and recovery.A New Lease on LifeThe procedure was a success, but the "after" is what really matters. The chronic pain and heaviness that I had accepted as my "normal" are gone. My energy has returned, and I finally feel like I have control over my body again. To anyone currently suffering in silence or feeling overwhelmed by your diagnosis: there is hope, and there are experts like Dr. Gaugau who prioritize minimally invasive solutions and patient dignity. I am so deeply grateful to Dr. Gaugau and his team for their skill, their kindness, and for quite literally giving me my life back.

It has been about seven months since my procedure, and I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for my health and quality of life.I was very nervous in the beginning and actually took over a year before I felt ready to move forward. Looking back now, I’m so grateful that I did. My recovery went well, and the long-term results have been incredible. My periods are now light, last about three days, and I have no cramping at all which still feels unreal to say. I’ve dealt with extremely painful, heavy periods since my teenage years, and now at 35, I finally feel relief.I intentionally waited several months before writing this review because I wanted to truly see how my body responded over time. While I noticed improvements early on, the past couple of months have really confirmed that this procedure was absolutely worth it. The changes have been consistent and life-changing.If I were ever faced with fibroids again or any similar complications in the future, I would not hesitate to choose this procedure again. I’m incredibly thankful for the care, reassurance, and expertise throughout the process. This decision has genuinely improved my day-to-day life, and I’m so happy I trusted myself and my doctor.

Dr.Gau Gau was very helpful. He treated me as an individual. Therefore my diagnosis was based on my personal circumstances. He was kind polite and professional. The office is very clean and bright. The staff are also nice, polite and friendly. I strongly recommend The Clinton Fibroid Center at Image Guided Surgery.

LIFE CHANGING!My review is long overdue, as I had my procedure on May 27, 2022. I only wish I’d found Dr. Gaugau sooner, as now I am in perimenopause and UFE could’ve helped me tremendously during my younger years.Although recovery for me was BRUTAL, it was all worth it. I now have ZERO cramps, when before, the cramping was debilitating. I used to bleed for more than a week and the clots that came out of me were insane. Now, I only use pantiliners and light-flow pads. Dr. Gaugau was wonderful from beginning to end. The ladies who assisted him in the office/provided reception, were absolute jewels (I feel bad that I can’t remember their names).I deducted a star because I had an experience that I did not like: the (white) nurse who assisted Dr. Gaugau during my procedure asked probing questions about my tattoos (that she was only able to see because I was in a hospital gown). Questioning a patient while she's in a vulnerable state about her decision to make modifications to her body, is offensive and highly unprofessional. I do not recall her name, as it’s going on four years, but I’m hoping she’s no longer part of his staff. Aside from this, I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Gaugau.
